O-77-517 - 12/22/1977ORDINANCE NO. ,50/7 AN ORDINANCE SETTING A DATE, TIME AND PLACE FOR A PUBLIC HEARING ON THE PROPOSED ANNEX- ATION OF CERTAIN PROPERTY BY THE CITY OF ROUND ROCK, TEXAS, AUTHORIZING AND DIRECTING THE MAYOR TO PUBLISH NOTICE OF SUCH PUBLIC HEARING: BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ROUND ROCK, TEXAS: Section 1. On the 12th day of January, 1978, at 7:00 o'clock P.M. in the City Council Chamber in the Round Rock Public Library Meeting Room in the City of Round Rock, Texas, the City Council will hold a public hearing giving all interested persons the right to appear and be heard on the proposed annexation by the City of Round Rock, Texas of the following described property, to -wit: BEGINNING for a point of reference at the intersection of the west right of way Interstate 35 and Brushy Creek said point being a corner of Round Rock City limit; THENCE in a westerly direction along Brushy Creek and Round Rock City limits to a point; THENCE in a southerly direction along Round Rock City limits to a point on the north right of way of highway 620 and Round Rock City limits; THENCE in a westerly direction along the north right of way of highway 620 and Round Rock City limits to a point said point being at highway station 460+16 and a northwest corner of Round Rock City limits; THENCE in a northerly direction approximately N14°E 450 ft. more or less to a point being a southwest cor- ner of a tract of land known as Creekside Industrial Park as recorded in Vol. 611 Page 754 of the Deed Re- cords of Williamson County, Texas; THENCE, N 55° 48' W 445.28 ft. to a point THENCE, with the meanders of Brehy Creek the following courges N15° 11 W, 10.31'; N 37 36' W, 239.36'; N 15 11' W, 244.91'; N 43° 50' W, 211.78'; THENCE in a northerly direction approximately N 11° E a distance of 1600 ft. more or less to a point, said point being the northwest corner of a 5 acre tract as recorded in Vol. 545 Pg. 98 of the Deed Records of Williamson County, Texas; THENCE N 70° 14' E 629.96 ft. THENCE N 70° 9' E 250.04'; THENCE N 70° 14' E 197.40'; THENCE S 19° 46' E 13.00'; THENCE N 70° 14' E 276.57'; THENCE N 70° 39' E 350' to a point said point being the most northern east corner of a 42.196 acre tract known as Old Town Meadows; THENCE in a northeasterly direction N 75°-89° E 480 ft. more or less across M.P. railroad to a point being the northwest corner of 25.26 acre tract known as Round Rock Industrial Park; THENCE N 71° 48' E 901.99' to a point on the west side of Chisholm Trail Road; THENCE N 71° 48' E 1050 ft. more or less to a point on the west R.O.W. of Interstate 35; THENCE in a southerly direction along said R.O.W. and Round Rock City limits to the intersection of Brushy Creek and the point of beginning and containing 360 acres of land, more or less, including the Old Town area. Section 2. The Mayor of the City of Round Rock is hereby authorized and directed to cause notice of such public hearing to be published once in the official newspaper of the City of Round Rock having general circulation in the city and in the above described territory not more than twenty days nor less than ten days prior to the date of such public hearing, all in accordance with the Municipal Annexation Act (Chapter 160, Acts of the 58th Legislature, Regular Session, 1963; compiled as 970a, Vernon's Texas Civil Statutes.)
