O-77-503 - 8/4/1977ORDINANCE NO. 5(13 AN ORDINANCE SETTING A DATE, TIME, AND PLACE FOR A PUBLIC HEARING ON THE PROPOSED ANNEXATION OF 6.018 ACRES OUT OF THE WILEY HARRIS SURVEY, WILLIAMSON COUNTY, TEXAS, BEING MORE PARTICULARLY DESCRIBED BELOW, BY THE CITY OF ROUND ROCK, TEXAS, AUTHORIZING AND DIRECTING THE MAYOR TO PUBLISH NOTICE OF SUCH PUBLIC HEARING. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ROUND ROCK, TEXAS: Section 1. On the day of August, 1977, at 7e2e9 o'clock p.m. in the City Council Chambers of the City Hall of Round Rock, Texas, the City Council will hold a public hearing giving all interested persons the right to appear and be heard on the proposed annexation by the City of Round Rock, Texas, of the following described property, to -wit: BEING 6.018 acres of land out of and a part of the Wiley Harris Survey, situated in the City of Round Rock, Williamson County, Texas, said 6.018 acre tract being more particularly described as being all of that certain tract of land that was conveyed to J. R. Killen by deed of record in Volume 402, Page 655 of the Williamson County, Texas Deed Records, said 6.018 acre tract being further described as being a portion of that certain 8.6 acre tract of land described in Volume 216, Page 358 and Volume 322, Page 252 of the Williamson County, Texas Deed Records, said 6.018 acre tract being more fully described by metes and bounds as follows: BEGINNING at a steel pin set at a fence corner at the northeast corner of said Killen tract for the northeast corner of the 6.018 acre tract herein described, said point also being at the southwest corner intersection of Sunset Drive and Summit Street; THENCE with the fence along an east line of this survey, and the west side of said Summit Street,S 19°-05'E 357.35 feet to a steel pin set at an old fence corner for the most easterly southeast corner of the 6.018 acre tract herein described; THENCE leaving said Summit Street and with the fence along as south line of this survey S 70°-17'W 184.07 feet to an iron pin found at an interior corner of said Killen tract for an interior corner of the 6.018 acre tract herein described; THENCE with the fence along an east line of this survey S 04°-11'E at 153.54 feet pass a steel pin set at a fence corner, continue for a total distance of 251.54 feet to a point in the approximate center of Brushy Creek for the most southerly southeast corner of the 6.018 acre tract herein described; THENCE up stream with the approximate centerline of said Brushy Creek N 83°-06'W 315.54 feet to a point for the southwest corner of the 6.018 acre tract herein described, said point also being in the east Right -of -Way line of Interstate Highway No. 35, same being the east line of that certain tract of land that was conveyed to the State of Texas by deed of record in Volume 422, Page 38 of the Williamson County, Texas Deed Records; THENCE with the east Right -of -Way line of said highway N 11°-42'W 555.33 feet to a concrete Right -of -Way Marker found for the northwest corner of the 6.018 acre tract herein described; THENCE N 44°-56'E 52.45 feet to a concrete Right -of -Way marker found at the southeast corner intersection of said highway and the above said Sunset Drive, said point also being at a bend in a fence; THENCE with the fence along the south side of said Sunset Drive N 85°-44'E 428.13 feet to the place of BEGINNING containing 6.018 acres of land. Section 2. The Mayor of the City of Round Rock, Texas, is hereby authorized and directed to cause notice of such public hearing to be published once in a newspaper having general circulation in the City of Round Rock, Texas, and in the above descrbed territory, not more than twenty (20) days nor less than ten (10) days prior to the date of such public hearing, all in accordance with the Municipal Annexation Act, Art. 970a, Vernon's Texas Civil Statutes.
