O-77-502 - 8/4/1977ORDINANCE NO. Vis; AN ORDINANCE SETTING A DATE, TIME, AND PLACE FOR A PUBLIC HEARING ON THE PROPOSED ANNEXATION OF THAT CERTAIN 159.43 ACRE TRACT OF LAND IN THE P. A HOLDER SURVEY AND THE WILEY HARRIS SURVEY IN WILLIAMSON COUNTY, TEXAS, AND BEING MORE PARTICULARLY DESCRIBED BELOW, BY THE CITY OF ROUND ROCK, TEXAS, AUTHORIZING AND DIRECTING THE MAYOR TO PUBLISH NOTICE OF SUCH PUBLIC HEARING. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ROUND ROCK, TEXAS: Section 1. On the - day of August, 1977, at 72 o'clock p.m., in the City Council Chambers of the City Hall of Round Rock, Texas, the City Council will hold a public hearing giving all interested parties the right to appear and be heard on the proposed annexation by the City of Round Rock, Texas, of the following described property, to -wit: BEING 159.43 acres of land in the P. A. Holder Survey and the Wiley Harris Survey in Williamson County, Texas, being more particularly described on Exhibit "A" which is attached hereto and made a part hereof for all purposes. Section 2. The Mayor of the City of Round Rock, Texas, is hereby authorized and directed to cause notice of such public hearing to be published once in a newspaper having general circulation in the City of Round Rock, Texas, and in the above described territory not more than twenty (20) days nor less than ten (10) days prior to the date of such public hearing, all in accordance with the Municipal Annexation Act, Art. 970a, Vernon's Texas Civil Statutes. Holder Survey and the Wiley Harris Survey in Williamson County, Texas, said acreage being composed of a 152.44 acre tract conveyed to Provident Development Company by deed recorded in Volume 667, Pages 495-496 of the Deed Records of Williamson County, Texas, and 4.30 acres of land being a portion of County Road No. 115 and also being 2.69 acres of land being a portion of U. S. Highway No. 79, all total being 159.43 acres and being more particularly described as follows: BEGINNING at the northwest corner of the herein described tract, being a concrete monument found and being the northwest corner of the aforementioned 152.44 acre tract of land conveyed to Provident Development Company; THENCE, N 89° 38' E, a distance of 1,920.40 feet to a nail in a cedar post; THENCE, S 0° 17' E, a distance of 3,099.18 feet to an iron pin found; THENCE, S 89° 40' W, a distance of 714.60 feet to an iron pin found; THENCE, S 0° 21' E, a distance of 663.08 feet to a concrete monument found, said pin being in the north R.O.W. of U. S. Highway 79; THENCE, S 8° 15' W, a distance of 120.00 feet to a point; THENCE, following the south R.O.W. of U. S. Highway 79, the following (4) four courses: 1) N 81° 45' W, a distance of 310.21 feet to a point; 2) N 87° 28' W, a distance of 201.00 feet to a point; 3) N 81° 45' W, a distance of 200.00 feet to a point; 4) N 76° 02' W, a distance of 201.00 feet to a point; THENCE, N 8° 15' E, a distance of 120.00 feet to a point, said point being in the North R.O.W. of U.S. Highway No. 79. THENCE, N 81° 45' W, a distance of 167.00 feet to an iron pin found; THENCE, N 42° 17' W, a distance of 220.88 feet to an iron pin found, said pin being in the north R.O.W. of U. S. Highway No. 79 and the east R.O.W. of County Road No. 115; THENCE, S 89° 50' W, a distance of 55.00 feet to an iron pin found in the west R.O.W. of County Road No. 115; THENCE, following the west R.O.W. of County Road No. 115, N 0° 09' W, a distance of 3,436.15 feet to a point; THENCE, N 89° 50' E, a distance of 54.02 feet to the POINT OF BEGINNING containing 159.43 acres of land, more or less.
