AN ORDINANCE SETTING A DATE, TIME, AND PLACE FOR A PUBLIC HEARING ON
THE PROPOSED ANNEXATION OF 11.740 ACRES OF LAND OUT OF THE WILEY
HARRIS SURVEY, WILLIAMSON COUNTY, TEXAS, MORE PARTICULARLY DESCRIBED
BELOW, BY THE CITY OF ROUND ROCK, TEXAS, AUTHORIZING AND DIRECTING
THE MAYOR TO PUBLISH NOTICE OF SUCH PUBLIC HEARING.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ROUND ROCK, TEXAS:
Section 1:
On the day of 4/40-U5i , 1977, at 7 c o'clock P.M., in the
City Council Chambers of the City of Round Rock, Texas, the City Council will
hold a public hearing giving all interested persons the right to appear and
be heard on the proposed annexation by the City of Round Rock, Texas, of the
following described property, to -wit:
Being 11.740 acres of land out of an original tract of 100.40 acres conveyed
to Pringle Real Estate, Inc. by deed of record in Volume 659, Page 650 of
the Deed Records of Williamson County, Texas, and being a part of Wiley
Harris Survey, Abstract 298, and being more particularly described as follows:
BEGINNING at a concrete monument set in the Southeast corner of Lot 20 of
Block B of DOVE CREEK SUBDIVISION, SECTON ONE, of record in Plat Book 6,
Pages 80-81 of the Plat Records of Williamson County, Texas;
THENCE with the South line of a 75.06 acre tract conveyed to Tomanet
Development Co. by deed of record in Volume 498, Page 401 of the Deed
Records of Williamson County, Texas, North 89 deg. 42 min. 30 sec. East
for 505.76 feet to an iron stake marking the Southeast corner of the
aforesaid 75.06 acre tract;
THENCE with the East line of the previously mentioned 75.06 acre tract,
North 00 deg. 22 min. 30 sec. West for 318.61 feet to an iron stake for the
northernmost Northwest corner of the 11.740 acres herein described;
THENCE South 89 deg. 49 min. East for 170.0 feet to a point located in the
East line of the Wiley Harris Survey, Abstract 298;
THENCE with the division line between the said Wiley Harris Survey and
the P. A. Holder Survey, Abstract 297, South 00 deg. 12 min. 30 sec. West
for 876.50 feet to a point located in the Northwest line of the existing city
limit line of Round Rock, Texas;
THENCE with the aforesaid city limit line, South 71 deg. 00 min. West for
725.44 feet to an iron stake;
THENCE with the existing East line of the city limits of Round Rock, Texas,
North 01 deg. 07 min. East for 792.18 feet to the PLACE OF BEGINNING, and
containing 11.740 acres of land, more or less.
Section 2:
The mayor of the City of Round Rock, Texas, is hereby authorized and
directed to cause notice of such public hearing to be published once in a
newspaper having general circulation in the City of Round Rock and in the
above'described territory not more than twenty (20) days nor less than
ten (10) days prior to the date of such public hearing, all in accordance
with the Municipal Annexation Act, Art. 970a, Vernon's Texas Civil Statutes.
