O-78-530 - 3/23/1978ORDINANCE NO. 8() AN ORDINANCE SETTING A DATE, TIME, AND PLACE FOR A PUBLIC HEARING ON THE PROPOSED ANNEXATION OF 78.164 ACRES OF LAND (THE GREENHILL SUBDIVISION) OUT OF THE DAVID CURRY SURVEY AND THE WILEY HARRIS SURVEY SITU- ATED IN WILLIAMSON COUNTY, TEXAS, BEING MORE PARTICU- LARLY DESCRIBED BELOW, BY THE CITY OF ROUND ROCK, TEXAS, AUTHORIZING AND DIRECTING THE MAYOR TO PUBLISH NOTICE OF SUCH PUBLIC HEARING. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ROUND ROCK, TEXAS: Section 1. On the /3 day of April, 1978, at 7:60 o'clock p.m. in the City Council Chambers of the City Hall of Round Rock, Texas, the City Council will hold a public hearing giving all interested persons the right to appear and be heard on the proposed annexation by the City of Round Rock, Texas, of the following described property, to -wit: FIELD NOTES describing a portion of the combined land of those certain tracts or parcels of land situated in Williamson County, Texas, conveyed to NPC Realty Co., described in deed recorded in Volume 664, Page 755, a 70.188 acre tract; Volume 679, Page 324, a 20.867 acre tract; said portion of combined land being 77.376 acres out of the David Curry Survey, Abstract 130, and 0.788 acres out of the Wiley Harris Survey, Abstract 298, totaling 78.164 acres of land being more fully described by metes and bounds as follows: BEGINNING for reference at the Southeast corner of the David Curry Survey, Abstract 130, also being the Northeast corner of the Wiley Harris Survey, Abstract 298, as established and shown on a Plat of Record of Mesa Park, Section Two, recorded in Volume 9, Page 38 of the Plat Records of Williamson County, Texas; THENCE South 71° 00' West, 3264.0 feet to an iron pin found in the North R.O.W. line of County Road No. 125, also being known as Bowman Road, same being the South- west corner of a 36 acre tract of land conveyed to the Texas Baptist Childrens Home by deed recorded in Volume 397, Page 506 of the Deed Records of Williamson County, Texas, South 16° 48' 09" East, 41.69 feet to a point in the South R.O.W. line of said County Road, same being the Round Rock City Limits line, for the Southeast corner hereof and the TRUE POINT OF BEGINNING hereof; THENCE along and with the South R.O.W. line of said County Road, being the South line hereof and the Round Rock City Limits line, the following five (5) calls: 1.) South 70° 12' West, 567.80 feet to an iron pin found in a fence line; 2.) South 70° 35' 09" West, 1081.72 feet to an angle point in said fence; 3.) South 68° 50' 33" West, 249.60 feet to an angle point in said fence; 4.) South 50° 10' 29" West, 61.27 feet to an angle point in said fence; 5.) South 24° 43' 48" West, 80.34 feet to an angle point in said fence; THENCE North 24° 36' 42" East, 118.33 feet to an iron pin found in the North R.O.W. line of said County Road, same being the Northeastern most corner of a tract of land conveyed to J. C. Payne by deed recorded in Volume 522, Page 30 of the Deed Records of Williamson County, Texas; THENCE with the North line of said Payne tract South 69° 21' West, 168.59 feet to an iron pin found in the Northwest corner of said Payne tract; THENCE South 15° 43' 30" East, 249.53 feet to an iron pin found in the North R.O.W. line of County Road 125, same being the Southwest corner of said Payne Tract; THENCE along and with the North R.O.W. line of said County Road, being the South line hereof, South 36° 29' 40" West, 137.21 feet to an iron pin found at a point on the Round Rock City Limits,same being the Southeast corner of a tract of land con- veyed to L. L. Daniell by deed recorded in Volume 416, Page 638 of the Deed Records of Williamson County, Texas, and the Southwest corner hereof; r THENCE along the Round Rock City Limits line, same being the West line hereof, North 19° 08' 30" West, 1754.58 feet to a point in the South line of a 92.84 acre tract of land conveyed to BRUSHY SLOPE Investment Corporation by deed recorded in Volume 579, Page 480 of the Deed Records of Williamson County, Texas, same being the Northwest corner hereof; THENCE along a fence, being the South line of said 92.85 acre tract and the North line hereof, the following five (5) calls: 1.) North 71° 14' East, 188.75 feet to an iron pin found; 2.) North 70° 56' 46" East, 1136.28 feet to an iron pin found; 3.) North 71° 13' 46" East, 425.68 feet to an iron pin found; 4.) North 71° 03' East, 313.64 feet to an iron pin found; 5.) North 70° 50' 11" East, 313.76 feet to an iron pin found, being in the South line of said 92.85 acre tract and the Northwest corner of said 36 acre tract, for the Northeast corner hereof; THENCE along a fence, being the West line of said 36 acre tract and the East line hereof, South 16° 48' 09" East, 1425.42 feet to the TRUE POINT OF BEGINNING and containing 78.164 acres more or less. Section 2. The Mayor of the City of Round Rock, Texas, is hereby authorized and directed to cause notice of such public hearing to be published once in a newspaper having general circulation in the City of Round Rock, Texas, and in the above de- scribed territory, not more than twenty (20) days nor less than ten (10) days prior to the date of such public hearing, all in accordance with the Municipal Annexation Act, Art. 970 a, Vernon's Texas Civil Statutes. (Mark through the following alternative that is not applicable.) Alternative 1. By motion duly made, seconded and passed with an affirmative vote of all the Council members present, the requirement for reading this ordinance on two separate days was dispensed with.
