AN ORDINANCE SETTING A DATE, TIME, AND PLACE FOR A PUBLIC HEARING ON THE PROPOSED ANNEXATION OF 18.85 ACRES OF LAND (KENSINGTON PLACE, SECTION 2) OUT OF THE ASA THOMAS SURVEY SITUATED IN WILLIAMSON COUNTY, TEXAS, BEING MORE PARTICULARLY DESCRIBED BELOW, BY THE CITY OF ROUND ROCK, TEXAS, AUTHORIZING AND DIRECTING THE MAYOR TO PUBLISH NOTICE OF SUCH PUBLIC HEARING. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ROUND ROCK, TEXAS: Section 1. On the /3 day of April, 1978, at 7.:06' o'clock p.m. in the City Council Chambers of the City Hall of Round Rock, Texas, the City Council will hold a public hearing giving all interested persons the right to appear and be heard on the proposed annexation by the City of Round Rock, Texas, of the following described property, to -wit: FIELD NOTES describing 18.85 acres of land out of and a part of the Asa Thomas Survey, Abstract No. 609, situated in Williamson County, Texas, said 18.85 acre tract being more particularly described as being a portion of that certain 92.35 acre tract of land that was conveyed to Joe Anderson by Deed of Record in Williamson County Texas Deed Records, said 18.85 acre tract being more fully described by metes and bounds as follows: BEGINNING at a steel pin found at the southwest corner of Lot 8, Block "A", Kensington Place, Section 1, a subdivision in the City of Round Rock, Texas, found of record in Plat Book 11, Pages 76 & 77 of the Williamson County, Texas Plat Records, for the northwest corner of the 18.85 acre tract herein described, and from which point the northwest corner of said Thomas Survey bears the fgllowing two (2) courses; 1.) North 19 44' West, 629.06 feet; 2.) South 71 00' West, approximately 1916 feet; THENCE with the south line of said Kensington Place, Section 1, the following six (6) courses; 1.) North 72° 16' East, 120.0 feet; 2.) North 40° 32' East, 57.58 feet; 3.) North 72 12' East, 1094.88 feet; 4.) South 89° 04' East, 122.13 feet; 5.) South 49° 57' East, 70.40 feet; 6.) South 81° 30' East, 120.0 feet to a steel pin found at the southeast corner of Lot 9, Block "E", of said subdivision for the northeast corner of the 18.85 acre tract herein described; THENCE with an east line of this survey th8 following two (2) courses; 1.) South 08° 30' West, 65.0 feet; 2.) South 23 10' East, 116.37 feet to a steel pin set for the most easterly southeast corner of the 18.85 acre tract herein described; THENCE with a south line of this survey South 48° 10' West, 113.89 feet to a steel pin set for an interior corner of the 18.85 acre tract herein described; THENCE with an east line of this whose Radius is 264.14 feet, a subchor tante of 87.95 feet to a steel pin set most southerly southeast corner of the THENCE with a south line of this 1.) Section 2. The Mayor of the City of Round Rock, Texas, is hereby authorized and directed to cause notice of such public hearing to be published once in a newspaper having general circulation in the City of Round Rock, Texas, and in the above described territory, not more than twenty (20) days nor less than ten (10) days prior to the date of such public hearing, all in accordance with the Municipal Annexation Act, Art. 970 a, Vernon's Texas Civil Statutes, (Mark through the following alternative that is not applicable) Alternative 1. By motion duly made, seconded and passed with an affirmative vote of all the Council members present, the requirement for reading this ordinance on two separate days was dispensed with.
