O-78-526 - 3/23/1978ORDINANCE NO. rJ r 6 AN ORDINANCE SETTING A DATE, TIME, AND PLACE FOR A PUBLIC HEARING ON THE PROPOSED ANNEXATION OF 19.28 ACRES OF LAND (THE G. W. WILHITE PROPERTY) OUT OF THE WILEY HARRIS SURVEY AND THE JACOB M. HARRELL SURVEY IN WILLIAMSON COUNTY, TEXAS, BEING MORE PARTICULARLY DESCRIBED BELOW, BY THE CITY OF ROUND ROCK, TEXAS, AUTHORIZING AND DIRECTING THE MAYOR TO PUBLISH NOTICE OF SUCH PUBLIC HEARING. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ROUND ROCK, TEXAS: Section 1. On the 13 day of April, 1978, at 7,'ic) o'clock p.m. in the City Council Chambers of the City Hall of Round Rock, Texas, the City Council will hold a public hearing giving all interested persons the right to appear and be heard on the proposed annexation by the City of Round Rock, Texas, of the following de- scribed property, to -wit: FIELD NOTES for 19.28 acres out of the Wiley Harris Survey and the J. M. Harrell Survey in Williamson County, Texas: BEGINNING for a point of reference at the Interstate Highway 35 Highway Station 1387 + 50; THENCE North 41° 18' 18" West for a distance of 540.70 feet to a point; THENCE South 31° 49' 00" West for a distance of 104.41 feet to a point; THENCE South 5° 37' 00" East for a distance of 1628.88 feet to a point for the southwest corner hereof; THENCE North 86° 19' 00" East for a distance of 546.38 feet to a point; THENCE North 68° 34' 39" East for a distance of 214.01 feet to a point for the southeast corner hereof; THENCE along a curve to the left which has a chord bearing North 22° 27' 18" West, 1287.99 feet TO THE POINT OF BEGINNING, and containing 19.28 acres of land. Section 2. The Mayor of the City of Round Rock, Texas, is hereby authorized and directed to cause notice of such public hearing to be published once in a news- paper having general circulation in the City of Round Rock, Texas, and in the above described territory, not more than twenty (20) days nor less than ten (10) days prior to the date of such public hearing, all in accordance with the Municipal Annexation Act, Art. 970 a, Vernon's Texas Civil Statutes. (Mark through the following alternative that is not applicable.) Alternative 1. By motion duly made, seconded and passed with an affirmative vote of all the Council members present, the requirement for reading this ordinance on two separate days was dispensed with.
