AN ORDINANCE MAKING IT UNLAWFUL TO TRESPASS ON CITY OWNED
AND OPERATED WATER TOWER AND ALSO MAKING IT UNLAWFUL TO
DAMAGE SAID WATER TOWER IN ANY MANNER: PROVIDING FOR A
PENALTY; PROVIDING FOR THE REPEAL OF ANY CONFLICTING
ORDINANCES.
WHEREAS, it has been brought to the attention of the City
Council of the City of Round Rock, Texas, that unauthorized
persons are trespassing on the city owned and operated water
tower within the corporate limits of the City of Round Rock,Texas;
WHEREAS, the City Council believes that a dire personal
injury could result from said trespassing on the city water
tower; and
WHEREAS, the City Council also believes that said water
tower has been damaged as a result of said unauthorized tres-
passing and further believes that the said water tower will be
damaged further if said trespassing is not eliminated.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the City Council of the City
of Round Rock, Texas:
Section 1. That it shall henceforth be unlawful for any
person without the expressed written consent of the City Manager
of the City of Round Rock, Texas, to climb or in any manner enter
upon or trespass on any city owned and operated water tower, or
fence, ladder or any other available access to said water tower
within the corporate limits of the City of Round Rock, Texas, or to
write, paint or in any other manner damage said water tower or
accesses thereto.
Section 2. Any person who violates the terms of this Ordinance
shall be deemed guilty of a misdemeanor and shall be fined in any
sum not to exceed $200.00.
Section 3. All ordinances, resolutions, or orders heretofore
enacted, passed and adopted by the governing body of the City of
Round Rock, Texas, or parts thereto, in conflict herewith, are hereby
repealed to the extent of such conflict.
