AN ORDINANCE VACATING, ABANDONING, AND CONVEYING AN OLD
ALLEY WAY WHICH IS A PORTION OF BLOCK 32, OF THE CITY
OF ROUND ROCK, TEXAS.
WHEREAS, the First Baptist Church of Round Rock, acting by
and through its duly elected trustees, Ivean Pearson, Cecil Hudson
and Martin Parker, has requested that the City of Round Rock vacate,
abandon and convey for and to them an old alley way which is a part
of Block 32 of the City of Round Rock, as hereinafter more
particularly described; and
WHEREAS, the property has been unused as an alley way or
passage way for many years; and
WHEREAS, the alley way is presently partially occupied by a
permanent structure; and
WHEREAS, the First Baptist Church of Round Rock owns the
balance of the real property which adjoins said alley way; and
WHEREAS, the City deems it advisable and finds it desirable
to vacate, abaondon and convey said property to Ivean Pearson,
Cecil Hudson, and Martin Parker, Trustees for the First Baptist Church
of Round Rock;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City
of Round Rock, Texas, that the following described property be,
and the same is hereby vacated, closed and abandoned and it is further-
more granted and conveyed to Ivean Pearson, Cecil Hudson and Martin
Parker, Trustees for the First Baptist Church of Round Rock, to -wit:
BEING a tract of land out of and a part of Block 32 of the
City of Round Rock, Texas, a subdivision of Williamson
County, Texas, according to the map or plat thereof recorded
in Vol. 25, Page 315, Deed Records of Williamson County,
Texas.
BEGINNING at the North east corner of Lot 1, Block 32;
THENCE North with the West line of Brown Street to the SE
corner of Lot 11, Block 32 of the City of Round Rock;
THENCE West with the South lines of Lots 11, 10 and 9 to
a point in the West line of said Lot 9 at its point of intersection
with Round Rock Avenue;
THENCE SE with the South line of the said Round Rock Avenue,
to a point which is the Northwest corner of Lot 3, Block 32 of
the City of Round Rock;
THENCE East with the North line of Lots 3, 2 and 1 of
Block 32 of the City of Round Rock, Texas, to the point of
beginning, which said point is the intersection of the NE corner
of Lot 1, Block 32, City of Round Rock, Texas, and Brown Street
in the City of Round Rock, Texas.
READ, PASSED AND ADOPTED by unanimous vote, this
day of December, 1973.
