AN ORDINANCE PROVIDING REGULATIONS FOR FIRE PROTECTION AND
FIRE PREVENTION; PROVIDING FOR THE ADOPTION BY REFERENCE OF
THE STANDARD FIRE CODE, 1976 EDITION; PROVIDING FOR PENALTY
FOR THE VIOLATION OF THIS ORDINANCE; PROVIDING FOR SAVINGS
CLAUSE; PROVIDING FOR THE EFFECT OF THIS ORDINANCE ON OTHER
ORDINANCES OR RESOLUTIONS.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ROUND ROCK, TEXAS:
Section 1:
The Standard Fire. Code, 1976 Edition, three (3) copies of which
shall be on file in the Office of the City Secretary of the City of
Round Rock, Texas, is hereby adopted by reference and all regulations,
parts, notations, references, and specifications therein are hereby
adopted and made a part of this ordinance except as deleted or amended
hereafter.
Section 2:
Any person violating any of the provisions of this ordinance
shall be guilty of a misdemeanor and upon conviction shall be subject
to a fine of note more than Two Hundred and No/100 Dollars ($200.00).
Each transaction in violation of any of the provisions hereof shall
be deemed a separate offense and as a separate offense shall be deemed
committed on each day during or on which a violation occurs or continues.
Section 3:
All ordinances, parts of ordinances or resolutions in conflict
herewith are expressly repealed.
Section 4:
The invalidity of any section or provision of this ordinance or of
the code hereby adopted shall not invalidate other sections or provisions
thereof.
Section 5:
Nothing in this ordinance or in the code hereby adopted shall be
construed to affect any suit or proceeding now pending in any court,
or any rights acquired, or liability incurred, not any cause or causes
of action accrued or existing, under any act or ordinance repealed hereby.
Nor shall any right or remedy of any character be lost, impaired, or
affected by this ordinance.
READ, PASSED, AND ADOPTED this day of June, 1976.
