O-76-278 - 6/22/1976ORDINANCE NO. 278 AN ORDINANCE REGULATING THE INSTALLATION, ALTERATION, AND MAINTENANCE OF ALL PIPING EXTENDING FROM THE POINT OF DELIVERY OF GAS FOR USE AS A FUEL AND DESIGNED TO CONVEY OR CARRY THE SAME TO GAS APPLIANCES, AND REGULATING THE INSTALLATION AND MAINTENANCE OF APPLIANCES DESIGNED TO UTILIZE SUCH GAS AS A FUEL, WITHIN THE CORPORATE LIMITS OF THE CITY OF ROUND ROCK; PROVIDING FOR THE INSPECTION OF SAID PIPING AND CERTAIN APPLIANCES; PROVIDING FOR THE ISSUANCE OF PERMITS FOR THE INSTALLATION OF SAID PIPING AND CERTAIN APPLIANCES AND THE COLLECTION OF INSPECTION FEES THEREFOR; PROVIDING FOR THE ADOPTION BY REFERENCE OF THE STANDARD GAS CODE, 1976 EDITION; PROVIDING FOR PENALTY FOR THE VIOLATION OF THIS ORDINANCE; PROVIDING FOR A SAVINGS CLAUSE; PROVIDING FOR THE EFFECT OF THIS ORDINANCE ON OTHER ORDINANCES OR RESOLUTIONS. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ROUND ROCK, TEXAS: Section 1: The Standard Gas Code, 1976 Edition, three copies of which are on file in the Office of the City Secretary of the City of Round Rock, Texas, is hereby adopted by reference and all regulations, parts, notations, references, and specifications therein are hereby adopted and made a part of this ordinance except as deleted or amended hereafter. Section 2: Any person violating any of the provisions of this ordinance shall be guilty of a misdemeanor, and upon conviction shall be subject to a fine of not more than $200.00. Each transaction and violation of any of the provisions hereof shall be deemed a separate offense, and as a separate offense shall be deemed committed on each day during or on which a violation occurs or continues. Section 3: All ordinances, parts of ordinances or resolutions in conflict here- with are expressly repealed. Section 4: The invalidity of any section or provision of this ordinance or of the code hereby adopted shall not invalidate other sections or provisions thereof.
