O-75-267 - 10/9/1975ORDINANCE NO. 267 AN ORDINANCE AMENDING, REVISING, AND SETTING THE GARBAGE COLLECTION RATES FOR RESIDENTIAL AND COMMERCIAL USERS WITHIN AND WITHOUT THE CORPORATE LIMITS OF THE CITY OF ROUND ROCK, TEXAS; PROVIDING FOR SAVINGS CLAUSE; PROVIDING FOR THE EFFECT OF CONFLICTING ORDINANCES, RESOLUTIONS OR ORDERS. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ROUND ROCK, TEXAS: That the following schedule of monthly rates or charges for the services furnished by the City's Garbage Collection Services shall be and such is hereby adopted and established as follows, to -wit: Classification of User Rate per Month Residential garbage pick up $4.00 per month General business user $9.00 per month Light commercial user $15.00 per month Intermediate commercial user $17.50 per month Heavy commercial user $25.00 per month The definitions for the Classification of User is more particularly set forth in Ordinance No. 227 approved, passed and adopted by the City Council of the City of Round Rock, Texas on the 13th day of June, 1974. It is further ordained by the City Council of the City of Round Rock, Texas, that the above enumerated garbage collection rates shall apply to all users located within the corporate limits of the City of Round Rock, Texas. All garbage collection users located outside the corporate limits of the City of Round Rock, Texas, shall pay times the rates set forth above. All ordinances, resolutions or orders heretofore enacted, passed and adopted by the governing body of the City of Round Rock, Texas,or parts thereof, in conflict herewith, are hereby repealed to the extent of such conflict. It is hereby declared to be the intention of the City Council of the City of Round Rock that the sub -sections, paragraphs, sentences, clauses and phrases of this ordinance are severable, and if any of them shall be declared unconstitutional or invalid by the valid judgment or decree of any court of competent jurisdiction, such unconstitutionality or invalidity shall not affect any of the remaining sub -sections, paragraphs, sentences, clauses or phrases of this ordinance since the same would have been enacted by the City Council of the City of Round Rock, without the incorporation of this ordinance of any unconstitutional or invalid sub -sections, paragraphs, sentences, clauses or phrases. This ordinance is to take effect and shall become enforceable on the day of 1975.
