O-58-237 - 11/18/1958ORDINANCE NO 237 AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO EXECUTE, IN BEHALF OF THE CITY OF ROUND ROCK, TEXAS, A QUIT CLAIM DEED TO MISSOURI PACIFIC RAILROAD COMPANY COVERING CERTAIN LANDS CONVEYED TO MISSOURI PACIFIC RAILROAD COMPANY BY OLD SETTLERS' ASSOCIATION OF WILLIAMSON COUNTY, TEXAS, AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ROUND ROCK, TEXAS: Section 1. The City Council hereby approves of the City of Round Rock, Texas, quitclaiming to Missouri Pacific Railroad Company all of its right, title and interest in and to certain lands, hereinafter described, conveyed to Missouri Pacific Railroad Company, a Missouri corpo- ration, by Old Settlerst Association of Williamson County, Texas, and the City Council hereby authorizes the Mayor to execute, and the City Secre- tary to attest under the City seal, and in the name and on behalf of the City of Round Rock, Texas, a deed, quit claiming to Missouri Pacific Railroad Company all of the City of Round Rock's right, title and interest in and to that certain tract or parcel of land lying in the County of Williamson, State of Texas, described as follows, to -wit: Being a parcel of land out of the J. M. Harrell Survey in Williamson County, Texas. Said parcel being a portion of the same property conveyed to Old Settlers' Association by Maggie J. Harrell by deed dated April 21, 1931, of record in Volume 258, page 276 of the Deed Records of Williamson County, Texas, and more particularly described as follows: Beginning at a point in the south line of this tract, said point being on the centerline of the relocated Georgetown Branch of the Missouri Pacific Railroad at Engineer's Station 46 L 73.0 as located by the Texas Highway Department, and also being in the approximate center of Lake Creek; THENCE S. 67° 06.25' W., 50.0 feet along said center of Lake Creek to a point; THENCE N. 22° 53.75' W., 150.3 feet parallel to and 50.0 feet from the centerline of the relocated Georgetown Branch to a point in the west line of this tract; THENCE N. 50 26.25' E., 210.7 feet along the west line of this tract, crossing the centerline of the relocated Georgetown Branch at Engineer's Station 49 / 16.0, to a point; THENCE S. 22° 53.75' E., 135.7 feet parallel to and 50.0 feet from the centerline of the relocated Georgetown Branch to a point; THENCE S. 40° 13.8' E., 209.5 feet to a point in the south line of this tract, said point being in the approximate center of Lake Creek; THENCE S. 67° 06.251 W., 112.4 feet along the center of Lake Creek to the point of beginning and containing 0.701 acre of land, more or less. Section 2. There exists a public emergency requiring that this ordinance be passed finally on the date of its introduction, and this ordinance shall be passed finally on the date of its introduction, this 18th day of November , 1958, and shall take effect immediately upon its passage and approval by the Mayor.
