AN ORDINANCE REGULATING THE POSSESSION AND CONSUMPTION
OF SPIRITUOUS,VINOUS, MALT OR OTHER INTOXICATING LIQUORS
ON VARIOUS CITY OWNED OR OPERATED PARKS AND POOL AREAS
WITHIN THE CITY LIMITS OF THE CITY OF ROUND ROCK, TEXAS.
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Round Rock, Texas,
deems it advisable and finds it necessary for the health, safety and
welfare of the citizens of the City of Round Rock, to regulate the
possession and consumption of intoxicating liquors on various city
owned or operated parks and pool areas within the City Limits of
the City of Round Rock, Texas;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the City Council of the
City of Round Rock, Texas, as follows:
1. It shall hereafter be unlawful for any person to drink or to
bring into or have in his or her possession for the purpose of drinking
any spirituous, vinous, malt or other intoxicating liquors, in those
certain areas which are being used and enjoyed as either baseball or
softball fields, or swimming pool areas, to -wit:
(a) Legion Park
(b) Brent Bustin Park
(c) Eggers Park
(d) Old Municipal Swimming Pool
(e) New Municipal Swimming Pool
(f) Any New Baseball Parks or Swimming Pool Areas that
the City may own or operate in the future.
2. Any person violating any of the provisions of this Ordinance
shall be guilty of a misdemeanor, and upon conviction shall be subject to
a fine of not more than $200.00.
3. Any Ordinance heretofore adopted by the City Council of the City
of Round Rock, which is' in conflict herewith, is expressly repealed.
4. It is hereby declared to be the intention of the City Council
of the City of Round Rock, that all subsections, paragraphs, sentences,
clauses and phrases of this Ordinance are severable, and if any of them
shall be declared unconstitutional or invalid by the valid judgment or
decree of any court of competent jurisdiction, such unconstitutionality
or invalidity shall not affect any of the remaining subsections,
paragraphs, sentences, clauses and phrases of this Ordinance, since
the same would have been inacted by the City Council of the City of
Round Rock, without the incorporation of this Ordinance of any un-
constitutional or invalid subsections, paragraphs, sentences, clauses
or phrases.
