OF ROUND ROCK, TEXAS
At a special called meeting of the City Council of
the City of Round Rock, Texas, on the
day of August,
1973, Councilman GARF I ELCD MCCON I CO submitted
the following Amendment to Ordinance NO. 224 of the City
of Round Rock, Texas, as follows:
An Ordinance amending Ordinance NO. 224, an
Ordinance creating the office of City Administrator in the
City of Round Rock, Texas, and providing for his powers
and duties, by:
Amending Section 3 of said Ordinance by redrafting
the paragraph entitled Removal of City Administrator to read
as follows:
" Removal of City Administrator: The City Council
may remove the City Administrator at any time by
a majority vote of its members. "
And by deleting Section 10 in Ordinance 224.
And by adding a new Section 9 to Ordinance No. 224
by enacting Section 9 as follows:
" Savings Clause: If any section, subsection, or sentence,
clause, or phrase of this ordinance is for any reason held
invalid, such decision or decisions shall not affect the validity
of the remaining portions of this ordinance. All ordinances
of the city prescribing the duties of heads of departments
shall remain in full force and effect except insofar as they
conflict with the provisions of this ordinance in which'case
they provisions of this ordinance shall govern. "
The fact that the existing, ordinance covering the
matters contained herein are inadequate to properly control
the problems related to the City Administrator and the require-
ments of this Ordinance are necessary to protect the welfare

of the citizens of this City, creating an emergency requiring
that the provisions of the law providing that Ordinance
shall be read, voted upon and passed at more than one regular
meeting of the City Council be suspended and the same is
hereby suspended and this Ordinance is finally adopted on
the date of its introduction.
