WHEREAS, Section 43 . 065 (a) of the Texas Local Government Code
requires that, within certain specified statutory timeframes, the City
Council of the City of Round Rock must direct the City' s Planning
Director to prepare a service plan that provides for the extension of
full municipal services to the areas which are proposed for annexation,
Now Therefore
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ROUND ROCK, TEXAS,
That the City Council hereby directs the City' s Planning Director
to prepare a service plan that provides for the extension of full
municipal services to the following area proposed for annexation, said
property being further described in Exhibit "A" attached hereto and
incorporated herein for all purposes:
(1) Greenlawn/SH 45 Tract 1-7 (19. 03 acres, more or less) .
The City Council hereby finds and declares that written notice of
the date, hour, place and subject of the meeting at which this
Resolution was adopted was posted and that such meeting was open to the
public as required by law at all times during which this Resolution and
the subject matter hereof were discussed, considered and formally acted
upon, all as required by the Open Meetings Act, Chapter 551, Texas
Government Code, as amended.

ITEM: 12.F.1. Consider a resolution directing the Planning Director to prepare a
service plan concerning the annexation of 19.03 acres of land,
more or less, out of the Memucan Hunt Survey and Socrates
Darling Survey in Williamson County and the Socrates Darling
Survey and the William Bratton Survey in Travis County. (Also
known as Greenlawn/SH 45 Tracts 1-7)

Justification:
These tracts, known as Greenlawn/SH45 Tracts 1 - 7, collectively comprise a total of 19.03
acres located in SH45 public right-of-way or abutting SH45 right of way, and are located
east and west of Greenlawn Boulevard. Individual tracts are either entirely surrounded or
nearly surrounded by previously annexed tracts, yet remain outside the city limits. It is the
City's desire to annex these tracts in order to control the development of this area.

Background Information•
This tract of land is located within the City of Round Rock's ETJ and in Williamson and Travis
Counties.
Public Comment:
Two public hearings are scheduled to be held on June 12, 2007, and June 14, 2007. On
April 27, 2007, written notices will be sent by certified mail to the property owners of the
proposed annexed lands and to all public and private utility providers that could be affected.
Published notice of the June 12, 2007, and June 14, 2007 public hearings will appear in the
Round Rock Leader on May 26, 2007 and will be posted on the City's Website on May 25,
2007. In addition, a community meeting for property owners is schedule for May 15, 2007
to explain the unilateral annexation process.
