Arterial "T" from

DATE: May 2, 2007
SUBJECT: City Council Meeting - May 10, 2007
ITEM: 7.B.1. Consider an ordinance naming Arterial "T" to Seton Parkway. (First
Reading)
Department: Planning and Community Development
Staff Person: Jim Stendebach, Planning and Community Development Director
Justification:
Seton has requested that Arterial "T" be named "Seton Parkway". Arterial "T" will be jointly
constructed by the City of Round Rock, Seton Hospital, Texas State University and John
Avery. Portions of the Right of Way will be dedicated by Seton Hospital and John Avery.
Easements for the remaining portion will be dedicated by Texas State University. Because
the Right of Way is being dedicated by deed & easement, the street will not be named by
plat, but will require council action to name it Seton Parkway. Seton proposes to address
their facility from this street.
Funding:
Cost: N/A
Source of funds: N/A
Outside Resources: N/A
Background Information:
Arterial "T" is a joint project between the property owners and the City (4B). John Avery
and Texas State University do not object to the proposed "Seton Parkway" name. This
street will run from University Blvd to Co. Rd. 112.
