R-98-07-23-10A1 WHEREAS, the City of Round Rock has previously entered into an agreement ( "Agreement") with HDR Engineering, Inc. for engineering services for backflow preventors at various Brushy Creek MUD interconnects, and WHEREAS, HDR Engineering, Inc. has submitted Amendment No. 1 to the Agreement to decrease the fee for the project, as more particularly described in the attached Amendment No. 1, and WHEREAS, the City Council desires to enter into said Amendment No. 1 to the Agreement with HDR Engineering, Inc. , Now Therefore BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ROUND ROCK, TEXAS, That the Mayor is hereby authorized and directed to execute on behalf of the City Amendment No. 1 to the Agreement with HDR Engineering, Inc. , to decrease the fee for the project, as more particularly described in the attached Amendment No. 1 . For Services Associated with the Installation of Backflow Prevention Devices at Interconnects Between the Water Distribution Systems of the City of Round Rock and Brushy Creek MUD The April 10, 1997 Agreement between the City of Round Rock and HDR Engineering, Inc., for Professional Engineering Services associated with a project that will include installation of backflow prevention devices at interconnects between the water distribution systems of the City of Round Rock and Brushy Creek MUD shall be amended by revision of the document as indicated by the items that are listed below. 1. On page 6 of the Agreement, in SECTION VI, THE ENGINEER'S COMPENSATION, Paragraph A, PRELIMINARY PHASE,the following change shall be made. The "$8,000"in the second line of this paragraph shall be deleted and "$9,200" shall be inserted in its place. 2. On page 8 of the Agreement, in SECTION VI, THE ENGINEER'S COMPENSATION, Paragraph D, SPECIAL ASSIGNMENTS AND SERVICES NOT INCLUDED IN ABOVE CHARGES, the following shall be added at the end of this Paragraph. "Compensation for water distribution system modeling authorized by the City in association with interconnects between the water distribution systems of the City of Round Rock and Brushy Creek MUD and related meetings and coordination with entities and other consultants shall not exceed$3,900. Compensation for subcontract surveying services associated with the project shall not exceed $4,000 without prior written approval of the City of Round Rock." 1 This Amendment is made a part of the Agreement for Professional Engineering Services.
