WHEREAS, the City of Round Rock has duly advertised for bids for
the Gattis School Road Improvement Project, and
WHEREAS, RGM Constructors, L. P. has submitted the lowest
responsible bid, and
WHEREAS, the City Council wishes to accept the bid of RGM
Constructors, Now Therefore
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ROUND ROCK, TEXAS,
That the Mayor is hereby authorized and directed to execute on
behalf of the City a contract with RGM Constructors, L.P. for Gattis
School Road Improvement Project .
The City Council hereby finds and declares that written notice of
the date, hour, place and subject of the meeting at which this
Resolution was adopted was posted and that such meeting was open to the
public as required by law at all times during which this Resolution and
the subject matter hereof were discussed, considered and formally acted
upon, all as required by the Open Meetings Act, Chapter 551, Texas
Government Code, as amended.

with RGM Constructors, L.P. for the Gattis School Road Improvement
Project.

Justification:
This project is for the widening of Gattis School Road, Windy Park Drive to the east property
line of the Randall's Town Center subdivision. The proposed construction will add a raised
median to create five-lane urban section with left and right turn lanes at A.W. Grimes Blvd.
The project also includes widening of Gattis School Road in the vicinity of Surrey Street and
Via Sonoma Drive to create left turn lanes from Gattis School Road.
Funding•
Cost: $2,741,843.54
Source of funds: GO Bonds

Background Information:
On April 26, 2007, the City received four bids for the construction of this project. The
lowest responsive, responsible bid was submitted by RGM Constructors, L.P. in the amount
of $2,741,843.54 for the base bid and alternate.
