WHEREAS, the City of Round Rock has requested proposals from
engineering firms for engineering services for the Downtown Sidewalk
Replacement and Pedestrian Access Improvements ("Project" ) , and
WHEREAS, �AKC,2�l�ICKC�itl A�SOClATS ,ANG appears to be the
best qualified firm to provide said services, and
WHEREAS, the City Council desires to accept the proposal of

BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ROUND ROCK, TEXAS,
That the proposal of ��- /CI��.F./l� ��//���5, /�('„is hereby
accepted and the City Council authorizes City Staff to negotiate an
Engineering Services Agreement with RH&P,-RICKLtN R6 5 0CI A T65, 1 (2,
for the Project .
The City Council hereby finds and declares that written notice of
the date, hour, place and subject of the meeting at which this
Resolution was adopted was posted and that such meeting was open to the
public as required by law at all times during which this Resolution and
the subject matter hereof were discussed, considered and formally acted
upon, all as required by the Open Meetings Act, Chapter 551, Texas
Government Code, as amended, and the Act .

ITEM: 13.E.3. Consider a resolution authorizing staff to negotiate a contract to
provide engineering services for the Downtown Sidewalk Replacement
and Pedestrian Access Improvements and authorizing the negotiation
of an Engineering Services Agreement.

History: The current paver sidewalk system in historic downtown is degraded and getting
worse. The City is patching areas as pavers get detached or broken.

Cost: To be determined
Source of funds: Downtown sidewalk Improvement Project
Outside Resources: To be determined
ImpactBenefit: Replacing the sidewalk will impact downtown business by limiting access
during construction. This will improve pedestrian access and streetscape for
the historic central business district.
Public Comment: Several meetings have been held with affected Downtown businesses.
