A total of four (4) bids were received. A complete bid tabulation is enclosed. Based on a review of the bids received, it is our recommendation that the Contract for construction of Forest Creek Drive from Collingwood Drive to 1,100-Feet West of Collingwood Drive, be awarded to J.C. Evans Construction Company, Inc., in the bid amount of$489,208.65. Please advise me as to your decision so that we may proceed with execution of the contract documents. Consider a resolution authorizing the Mayor to execute a contract for the construction of Forest Creek Drive from Collingwood Drive to Double Creek Drive. The construction of Forest Creek Drive from Collingwood Drive to Double Creek Drive is included in the approved Transportation Capital Improvement Program. This project will construct the first segment of this road through a portion of the Lake Forest subdivision. The project will build approximately 1100 feet of 4-lane divided street including drainage, lighting and sidewalks. Resource: Jim Nuse, Public Works Director Tom Word, Traffic Engineer History: The construction of Forest Creek Drive from Collingwood Drive to Doublecreek Drive is included in the approved Transportation Capital Improvement Program. This project will construct the first segment of this road through a portion of the Lake Forest subdivision. The project will build approximately 1100 feet of 4-lane divided street including drainage, lighting and sidewalks. Funding: Cost: $400,000 Source of funds: Transportation System Development Corporation Sales Tax, Bon Terre-B, Ltd. The developer will contribute 7.83% of the roadway cost and 50% of the box culvert costs based upon the actual bid prices. Outside Resources: Bon Terre-B, Ltd. Impact/Benefit: This project will improve access to newly developed areas in southeast Round Rock and decrease traffic on the eastern end of Gattis School Road. Public Comment: N/A Sponsor: N/A
