WHEREAS, the City of Round Rock has previously entered into a
Contract for Engineering Services ("Contract") with Baker-Aicklen &
Associates, Inc . for the design of roadway improvements on CR 122 from
Forest Creek Drive to Brushy Creek, and
WHEREAS, Baker-Aicklen & Associates, Inc . has submitted an
Additional Services Authorization to the Contract for a change in the
scope of services, and
WHEREAS, the City Council desires to approve said Additional
Services Authorization to the Contract with Baker-Aicklen & Associates,
Inc . , Now Therefore
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ROUND ROCK, TEXAS,
That the Mayor is hereby authorized and directed to execute on
behalf of the City an Additional Services Authorization to the Contract
with Baker-Aicklen & Associates, Inc . for a change in the scope of
services, a copy of said authorization being attached hereto as Exhibit
"A" and incorporated herein for all purposes .
The City Council hereby finds and declares that written notice of
the date, hour, place and subject of the meeting at which this
Resolution was adopted was posted and that such meeting was open to the
public as required by law at all times during which this Resolution and
the subject matter hereof were discussed, considered and formally acted

upon, all as required by the Open Meetings Act, Chapter 551, Texas
Government Code, as amended.

resulting from inclement weather conditions, etc.

6. The firm's professional liability is limited to the total amount of compensation associated with a specific

ITEM: *15.F.5. Consider a resolution authorizing the Mayor to execute an Additional
Services Authorization with Baker Aicklen &Associates, Inc.for the
design of roadway improvements on CR 122 from Forest Creek Drive
to Brushy Creek. This is for the restaking of the right-of-way for the
appraiser. This agreement is for $1,400.00. This will bring the total
cost of the contract to $182,900.

History: The original contract was approved on May 13, 1999 by Resolution No. R-99-05-
13B 15 for the preparation of right of way documents, construction plans,
specifications, and estimates for the interim widening of CR 122 from Forest Creek
Drive to Brushy Creek; and the preparation of a right of way schematic and a
roadway design schematic for the future widening of CR 122 from Forest Creek
Drive to US 79 to a 4-lane divided arterial. Resolution No. R-01-04-26-14E6
approved Supplemental Agreement No. 1, which changed the Scope of Work to
include the preparation of a traffic control plan for this project. Supplemental
Agreement No. 2 in the amount of$1,400.00 allowed for the restaking of the right-
of-way for the appraiser. This will bring the total cost of the contract to $182,900.
